My poetry is inspired by personal experience, yet it finds its creative voice best when it expresses a universality which can have meaning for all readers. It is an illumination of ordinary, everyday detail. A distillation of
the quiet moments, illustrated in imagery that echoes the beauty and complexity of nature. A painterly use of words, that evokes colour and
texture. I strive to explore the deeper questions about our understanding
of life, our connection to each other, and the joy that is possible in how we choose to see all things.

Like footfalls on a mossy river bank, like a delicate cloud that floats for a moment over a craggy rockface in the desert, or the incredible fleeting geometry of a snowflake that lands on a black velvet cloak entering a
hearth-warm abbey – there is an ephemeral sensitivity, a longing to communicate with words the fleeting deep meaning of a smile.
